Jose Villa Workshop, Mexico, November 2014 - Part One

Since Jose Villa started to offer photography workshops it was my dream to learn & shoot alongside this immensely talented photographer. He is the worlds number one wedding photographer. Jose Villa is Testino of the wedding industry... If wedding photographers would be pop stars Jose would be my Madonna. I have followed his work and drooled over his styled shoots since day one.

End of October 2014 I hopped on a plane from Ibiza to Guadalajara with a lot of questions, few books (including the Jose Villa book), Contax 645, tons of film and crazy excited smile on my face!

Chasing my Jose dream!

I arrived at the beautiful Hotel Hacienda El Carmen a week before the workshop. I wanted to have time to gather my questions, thoughts and enjoy Jalisco before the workshop peeps arrive. I have been welcomed and treated like a family member by amazing Hacienda staff and the entire pueblo. I have spent an entire week on reading, eating, sleeping and running. I have also shot inside the hotel and managed to capture most of the super kind people who took care of me for the two weeks I stayed at the Hacienda.

I have shot so many rolls of precious Fuji 400H film that my photos from Mexico workshop have to be divided into 4 posts!

So here we go... number ONE
