Little game of flowers - London Flower Market
Early Sunday morning Columbia Road transforms into magical garden full of plants and flowers. When I travelled to London mid December, Columbia Flower Market was full of christmas trees and winter berry brunches.
The flower market was crazy busy before Christmas. I stood right in the middle of the commotion looking at all the plants and flowers people buy. Almost looking for a pattern. After 10 minutes I decided to photograph both - people and flowers. I want to believe I found a pattern in what kind of flowers people take home with them. A lot of the flowers matched what the person was wearing. Perhaps unconsciously matching their hat, shirt or shoes with the colours of the plants. Or maybe it was totally concious decision. I has so much fun just watching, observing the crowd, playing plant detective. Hope next time I'm in London I will have more time to hang around the Columbia Flower Market. And hopefully next time it won't be as cold as it was on the 11th of December...
Thank you all the gorgous Londoners for posing for me :)
