Elegant Intimate Private Wedding - Villa Atlantis Ibiza
From the first time I've spoken with Craig and Lais at Cardamom Events about this gorgeous wedding and Lais described it as private, intimate, luxurious with touches of gold, deep pink, butterflies at the most stunning private villa in Ibiza, Villa Atlantis, I knew it will be a dream wedding to photograph.
I shot mainly film (Fuji400H) and then when the sun went down I swapped for digital to capture all the crazy dancing and fun performances! The ceremony took place at 7pm and the villa was already in the shade, so was the ceremony area, but thanks to film the photos came out warm, natural with vibrant colours and soft skin tones.
I'm so grateful for having Lais onsite throughout the day. It was so amazing working with her. She is so dynamic but calm at the same time, always polite and in control! Thank you Cardamom Events for this wonderful experience. It seriously was the perfect client, the perfect venue and the most beautiful details!
I've decided to ask Lais some questions from wedding planner's point of view, and here is what she told me....
1. How long did you work with the client on their vision for this wedding?
We´ve being working with this couple since April 2015 creating their dream wedding - it was 1 year and 3 months of planning including visits, viewings, tastings, exchanging emails, phone calls, images, etc. From the first meeting the couple knew exactly what they were looking for - working with the Bride and Groom was amazingly fluid and super creative.
2. Tell us more about their wedding style and entertainment.
The style was fresh and romantic in a modest, elegant way. Butterflies mingled with mermaids and fire performances gave entrance to a mix of "merengue" & house music played by Jon Sa Trinxa.
3. What are you particularly proud of?
I am very proud of their smile throughout the entire day - before, during and after the event. But I must say that we are particularly happy with the decorations and details of the dining area. The final look was incredible with golden chandeliers, chairs, tea lights and fresh bougevvilla that gave the whole look a romantic touch.
4. What would you do differently?
I would hire Cardamom Events food instead of bringing an outsider caterer. We are fully licensed in-house caterer on island providing fresh meals using local, island providers.
5. Any tips for brides planning their wedding in Ibiza?
